Replacement & extension legs

Custom Furniture Legs That Fit Over Your Existing Legs

Riserman furniture legs have a 2-inch deep pocket. Your existing sofa, bed, cabinet or table leg slides down into it and is held on all sides, so the new leg looks like part of the furniture instead of a block it sits on. Each one is 3D printed to order from PLA to the size you enter.

What a pocket furniture leg is

A standard riser holds a leg in a shallow cup. A Riserman furniture leg has a 2-inch deep pocket, so a good length of your current leg sits inside it. That deeper hold keeps the leg from tipping out and makes the result read as a taller, cleaner leg rather than an add-on.

Because nothing is screwed or glued, you can raise a sofa, couch, bed frame, TV stand, dresser, cabinet, coffee table or ottoman without tools, and take the legs off again later. It is a simple way to replace the look of short or worn furniture feet with square, round or custom-shaped legs.

How to size furniture legs

Measure the widest part of the existing leg within its bottom 2 inches, since that whole section will sit inside the pocket. Add 1/4 inch of clearance to width and depth so the leg slides in instead of jamming. Tapered legs are measured 2 inches up from the floor, where they are widest inside the pocket.

Rectangular legs work too: the longer side fits the base range you choose and the shorter side can be smaller. Round legs use the diameter for both numbers. For L-shaped, splayed or unusual legs, describe the shape in the notes box or text a photo of the leg next to a ruler to 860-856-3633.

Choosing height, shape and finish

The height you pick is the lift your furniture gains. Modest lifts keep furniture steady and are the most common choice; taller options remain available, and a wider base with a shorter lift is always the steadier combination.

Pick square or round, or ask for a custom shape. Finishes include wood tones such as Walnut, Golden Oak and White Oak, solid colors like black, white and gray, and metallic finishes such as gold, brass and silver. Every leg is printed after you order and ships in 3 to 5 business days.

Build your furniture legs

We've prefilled a typical size for this kind of furniture, change it to your own measurements, then enter the total weight the risers will carry.

1. Base size

Riser footprint, after clearance

Choose the one-inch range your riser should be, after adding clearance to the leg. If your leg is 1" × 1", pick a base range that includes at least 1.25" × 1.25".

2. Height

How far you're lifting

Choose the one-inch range for the lift you want.

With a 2–3" base, heights above 7" are grayed out. A narrow footprint lifted that high gets tip-prone, step up a base size to unlock taller risers.

3. Exact dimensions

Dimensions of the riser

Decimals welcome, enter your exact number. These are the dimensions of the riser itself, not the furniture leg. If your leg measures 1" × 1", add clearance and enter at least 1.25" × 1.25".

Sizing tip: Add at least 1/4" of clearance on every side of the leg so the riser fits easily and stays stable. A 1" × 1" leg should become a 1.25" × 1.25" (or larger) riser base.

Not sure how to measure? Tap for a quick guide
  1. Measure the bottom of the leg where it touches the floor, side to side (width) and front to back (depth).
  2. Add 1/4" to each number for clearance. A 2" leg becomes 2.25".
  3. For height, pick how much lift you want. Under 3" is the most popular for beds.
  4. Still unsure? Text a photo of the leg next to a ruler to 860-856-3633 and I'll tell you the size to order.
