Round vs. Square Furniture Risers
The best riser shape is usually the one that matches your leg. Here's how to choose.
Match the leg shape
- Square legs: a square pocket holds the leg on all four sides and looks tidy.
- Round legs: a round pocket fits the leg evenly all the way around.
- Rectangular legs: a rectangular pocket, sized to both sides.
The pocket matters most
Whatever the outside looks like, the pocket should be about 1/4 inch larger than the leg in total. That keeps the leg from sliding out while still dropping in easily.
Looks
Square risers suit modern and farmhouse pieces; round ones suit turned and tapered legs. Choose a finish close to the furniture so they disappear. Riserman risers are 3D printed from PLA in wood tones, solid colors and metallics.
Different legs on one piece
Some furniture mixes leg shapes or sizes. With custom risers you can order each size separately at the same height.
Common questions
Can I put a round leg in a square riser?

Do both shapes come in every color?
Yes, every finish is available in both shapes.
Can I get help with sizing?
Yes. Use the chat on any page or text 860-856-3633 with a photo of the leg next to a tape measure, and we'll help you pick the right size before you order.
